Position Description

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Visiting Nurse Association and Easterseals Nebraska (VNA/ESN) is looking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator who will create inspiring and engaging collateral through digital and print materials, images, video, and social media to support mission and fundraising efforts of the organization.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is accountable to the Chief Executive Officer in the operational coordination of fundraising and communication strategies and in growing the relationship between the organization and the public.

This position is responsible for creating and managing marketing and communications efforts that support the VNA/ESN strategic plan, fundraising, revenue production, project coordination/management, and mission identity. Responsible for establishing and managing social media, website, and publications. Shares responsibility in envisioning and creating communications that strengthen individual, corporate, and community relationships and funding strategies that advance the impact of VNA/ESN services.


Job Responsibilities:
• Propose and implement communication and marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives. This includes collaboration with the organization’s CEO, development team, and other cross-functional teams.
• Adhere to all organizational brand usage guidelines.
• Develop content that best conveys key messages and meets strategic and fundraising goals of the organization.
• Manage and review content for an organization’s public-facing website. Update with fresh information on a regular basis. Develop and update organization brochures and impact reports.
• Represent the organization at various events, committees, and meetings, as appropriate. Work with a variety of individuals and groups across the organization.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, social/digital communications, or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a non-profit healthcare or development office preferred.
• Requires demonstrated experience with social media platforms and developing presentations.
• Excellent professional writing, grammar skills, and general communications abilities are required (a writing sample may be requested).
• Excellent analytical skills for tracking, measuring, and reporting.
• Ability to handle details and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with graphic design. Canva or related software.
• Experience with videography.
• Valid Driver’s License & auto insurance coverage.
